Faculty Portal
Section titled “Faculty Portal”The Faculty Portal is the React-based workspace for teaching staff. The pages available to you depend on the feature toggles your administrators have enabled; if an area described here is missing, ask an administrator to review the faculty feature toggles.
Dashboard and action center
Section titled “Dashboard and action center”- The dashboard summarizes your teaching load, upcoming classes, and items that need attention.
- The action center collects pending work — submissions to grade, attendance to complete, and requests awaiting your response — so you can clear tasks from one place.
Classes
Section titled “Classes”Each of your assigned classes has its own workspace:
- Posts and materials — publish announcements, lessons, and resources to the class stream.
- Submissions — review student assignment submissions, grade them, and return feedback.
- People — view the enrolled roster and manage students in your section, including section moves where permitted.
- Grading — encode and submit grades per grading period. Submitted grades follow the school’s verification workflow before they become final.
Class rosters and reports can be exported as PDF from the class area.
Attendance
Section titled “Attendance”- Open an attendance session for a class meeting and mark students present, late, absent, or excused.
- Review attendance records per class and export attendance reports for your own records or for submission.
Schedule
Section titled “Schedule”The schedule area shows your teaching timetable in two views:
- Agenda view — a chronological list of upcoming classes.
- Bird’s-eye view — the full week at a glance, useful for spotting gaps and conflicts.
Grades
Section titled “Grades”The grades area lists your classes per grading period. Encode scores, then submit them for verification. Once submitted, changes go through the authorized process rather than direct edits — contact your registrar if a submitted grade needs correction.
Profile and security
Section titled “Profile and security”From your profile settings you can enable two-factor authentication (authenticator app or e-mail code) and register passkeys for faster, phishing-resistant sign-in. API keys for personal integrations are also managed here when permitted.
